  CHADAR TREK :-

                          Chadar trek is among  the toughest and most adventurous treks in Leh Ladakh. This trek is called Chadar trek because the Zanskar river turns into a white sheet of snow during winters.There is such a track in the Zanskar region of Ladakh, which is quite popular among tourists. This track is actually a frozen river. The name of this river is Zanskar. In summer, where this river gives cold water streams, in winter it freezes so much that people use it for commuting and for their other work. The extent to which this river freezes in winter can be easily estimated from the fact that people also trek on it. This is the only trek in the world where the entire trekking is done on the river.

Travelers also wish to come more on the Chadar trekking route because they get the chance of snowy trekking in winter and river rafting in summer. During this, the Zansker river flows at its full speed,seeing which river adventure enthusiasts get very excited. If you are also fond of adventurous adventure, then during summer you can enjoy a lot here.

Nearest Railway station/Bus stand –  Dehradun ( About 265    kms/6 hr from Delhi)

Track open time –  October to June

Best time to ascertain snowfall – December end to February

Location – Govind Wildlife sanctuary in Uttarakhand

HAR KI DUN TREK

Track difficulty –  Moderate

Altitude –            11,700 ft

Track time –       7 days

Track distance – 44  km

Base camp –       Sankari (200 km from Dehradun)

Nearest Railway station/Bus stand –  Dehradun ( 265 kms from Delhi)

Track opening time –  March – June, September – December

BRAHMATAL TREK

Track difficulty – Moderate

Altitude –            12,100 ft

Track time –       6 days

Track distance – 22 km

Base camp –     In  Lohajung ( About 220 km from Kathgodam)

Nearest Railway station/Bus stand –  Kathgodam(322 kms from Delhi)

Best time to  go to – November to April

Location –        Chamoli district of Uttarakhand

NAG TIBBA TREK

Track difficulty – Easy

Altitude –            9,920 ft

Track time –       2 days

Track distance – 16 km

Base camp –       In Pantwari (About 100 km 4 hrs drive from Dehradun)

Nearest Railway station/Bus stand –  Dehradun ( 265 kms from Delhi)

Best time to go to – September to December and March to June

PRASHAR LAKE TREK

Track difficulty – Easy to Moderate

Altitude –            8,900 ft

Track time –       2 days

Track distance – 17 km

Base camp –      In  Mandi (430 kms/9 hrs from Delhi)

Track open time –  Year round

Best time to see snowfall – Last December to mid April

KUARI PASS TREK

Track difficulty – Moderate

Altitude –            12,516 ft

Track time –       6 days

Track distance – 33 km

Nearest Railroad station –  Haridwar is that the nearest railroad station 

Best time to go to – March till mid June and mid September too early November

DEORIATAL CHANDRASHILA TREK

Best time to go to  – Around the year except monsoon
